Sound expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony and colour. Nila Palacios expresses her design creativity through the sounds and beats of sexy Latin music like Flamenco, Salsa, Merengue, Tango, Lambada, Paso Doble, Rumba and Cha-Cha.
Nila is Venezuelan but has travelled the world, seen many places and faces. She has learnt at an early age the influences of the Spanish in Venezuela and the majority of Latin American countries.
So, Flamenco was clearly the beginning of her fashion line.Nila's debut collection in 2007 was inspired by Flamenco influences and she utilised vibrant, bright colours and frills which accentuated movement to enhance and project the feminine form.
Nila's second collection is the sexy Salsa collection with twirling skirts, sexy cuts, flowing dresses and sexy tops, full of bright colours and movement that gives the wearer the feel of the music while dancing. This collection focuses on four categories - casual wear, office wear for women looking for the chic factor while working, evening gowns and salsa competition dresses which are more elaborate and sophisticated for the competitors. The Salsa collection comprises of pret-a-porter pieces or made to order designs.
Her latest Tango Collection is inspired by the Latin passion, character and sensuality taken from different elements of the Argentine culture and dance. The collection evokes harmony and synchronicity which is typical of the Tango dance with a splash of colours ranging from soft hues to bright colours.
The 'Nila Palacios' brand is for confident, sexy women who want to look and feel different with exclusive Latin inspired designs. The designs are for the elegant, confident, passionate and thoroughly feminine women.
